“ Love the vibe in an old house with a beautiful patio area. There's shopping and lots of eye candy while you're waiting for your food. Come with patience as the food is made fresh. I'd say it was perfect except my croissant was a bit too crispy for my liking. Still can't wait to come back. Staff had good recommendations for my gluten free friend. So many options, recommend taking your time in line to fully evaluate the menu on the chalkboard and all the fresh baked goods. I changed my mind 3 times in line and added some last minute yums. ”
“ Cute little coffee shop. Visited very often by the locals right off of 290 in Drip. Good coffee! Lattes are delish with many non cow milks. We've had pastries, breakfast, and lunch here. All great. Fresh. Service is nice. The decor is cute. Shabby chic meets farm home vibes. Come support local! ”
“ i visit a local retreat, engage a creative retreat, in dripping springs several times a year. rolling in thyme and dough is always on my list of food stops. they have a bistro night on thursdays, that i have tried, but i usually pick up lunch and maybe a treat! this past weekend, i had the chicken salad as a salad rather than as a sandwich and it was very good. both the chicken salad and the salad salad were nice and fresh. the chicken salad had only enough mayo to hold it together, which is what i prefer. i also picked up a piece of apple bread - a nice thick slice that was fresh, tasty and moist. if you are looking for a nice lunch spot for you and mom and you and the gals, or just lunch for one, this is a great place. it DOES get crowded at peak times, you can call in an order and pick it up, ”
“ This is one of those places that makes Dripping Springs / Hill Country / ATX / Texas great! Everything about it - the decor, the friendly service, the delicious food, great coffee, historic building. I've been a couple of times but haven't gotten a chance to write anything, but both breakfast and lunch, or just swinging by for baked goods have all been fantastic experiences. I would (and have!) bring friends and family from out of town here, and be excited to bring them here and say "this is why we live in Texas Hill Country" ”
“ Bistro Night at Rolling in Thyme and Dough. In the warmer months, it's every first and third Thursday. If you're a fan, you get the email notice. If you're not, you should join. It's a great experience. It's a menu in and of itself. There are no reservations - you email or text them if you're coming and what you want from the menu. Keep in mind, It's RTD. They hear a different drummer. Think eclectic with every breath. The menu varies from Bistro night to Bistro night, but it's always thoughtful, creative and clever. And eclectic. Ambience is frozen in Austin 1968. An old house, eclectic furnishings and decor. Service always friendly, solicitous and prompt. Tonight we had Bella - sweet and cheerful. Two entrees for us tonight. My lamb shank was superb. Slow cooked with a crisp crust and an ocean of jus. Carrots and zucchini cooked along with it. Texture was fork-able tender and savory. The jus kept it moist. My companion, who hates lamb, said she'd eat this. She had crab cakes and herbed corn on the cob. The cakes were fine with a remoulade that kept them moist. The herbed corn was the only disappointment- not much herb flavor and a bit tough. Dessert was peach cobbler from fresh fruit with vanilla ice cream. Richly sweet and a dough-on-top-and-bottom preparation. I like crust! OMG. I refuse hyperbole, but . . . dang that's good. The wine list is short but well thought out. Same for the beers. If you're a local or interested, sign up with RTD. Bistro Night is worth your while. If you're not from here but here on one of those Thursdays, try to make it. They cook a little extra. ”
“ This restaurant is a must when visiting Dripping Springs. This was our first time checking out the place and although I was disappointed that we missed breakfast (breakfast ends at 11am and lunch begins), the lunch was fantastic! I had the Ranchers Roast Beef on Sourdough - I'm glad I made that choice. The sandwich wasn't dry at all and the flavors worked well together. My wife got the Two Step Grilled Chicken sandwich and that was great too. It actually had a bit of a kick to it. For dessert, she had an almond croissant and I had the Cadillac Cookie (chef's kiss). I look forward to returning and trying their breakfast. I also heard the Meatloaf sandwich is highly sought after and it was sold out when we arrived at 11:30 . Inside was nice and set up in a way to allow foot traffic to flow. We chose to sit outside under the shade. Although the weather was in the high 80's, it felt cool under the shades and trees. ”
“ I loved it all!! Food: My breakfast was perfect! Homemade vibe!! Eggs with spinach, and mushrooms! The sour dough toast with strawberry jam and real butter was outstanding. Freshly baked chocolate croissant was light and flaky! Yum! My fave was the cappuccino...great taste! Service: It's a locals place and such a comfortable vibe. Feels like you are sitting at your grandmothers kitchen table! I think it's the owner roaming around checking on his customers. Well done, Mr. Owner. ”
